Servers carry the cross, the processional candles, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, carry the incense and censer, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts or assist him when he receives the gifts from the people, wash the hands of the priest, assist the priest celebrant and deacon as necessary. The usual age to enter this ministry is during fourth and fifth grade in this parish. If an older student would like to serve but did not receive trainig at the normative age, or would like to have a refresher on how to serve, please contact the pastor.
Adult servers who would like to assist at daily Masses should contact the pastor.
Scheduling for servers is handled by Kim Langford who may be reached at 316.518.0302. Once a youth has been trained, a parent/guardian should notify Kim Langford of the Mass the family usually attends so the child can scheduled accordingly.
